GAPA (Gay Asian Pacific Alliance) is an organization dedicated to furthering the interests of gay and bisexual Asian/Pacific Islanders by creating awareness, by developing a positive collective identity and by establishing a supportive community. GAPA was formed from the need for an organization to address, through a democratic process, social, cultural and political issues affecting the gay & bisexual Asian/Pacific Islander community.

SOUTH BAY QUEER & ASIAN is a support and social group that provides gay, bisexual, and lesbian Asians and Pacific Islanders in the South Bay with a safe place to "come out of the closet" and be comfortable with their sexual identity and race.

TRIKONE (Sanskrit for triangles) is a non-profit group for lesbian, gay and bisexual South Asians - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Tibet. Trikone's goal is to bring women and men of South Asian heritage together in a friendly, supportive, and non-judgemental environment, and to promote awareness, visibility and acceptance of alternative sexuality in society. PACIFIC FRIENDS has been operating since 1984 promoting friendship and cross-cultural understanding between Asians and others.

forPLU.com was established by 3 Malaysians to function as a website, a webzine, a (little) web portal for Asian gays, lesbians, bisexuals & transsexuals. Great site - take a look!

GAY MALAYSIANS AND SINGAPOREANS CLUB is a web site designed -

  • To be a meeting place for gay Malaysian & Singaporeans
  • A place for members to voice their opinions on any matters regarding sexuality
  • A 'rendezvous' point and 'notice board' where activities can be organized, confirmed and reported

LONG YANG CLUB'S "GLOBAL VILLAGE" Billy Wong whom is originally from Ipoh and now living in London has an excellent site. The Long Yang Club is an organization specifically for Asians and Western people, and it has groups in UK& Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. In total there are over 4,000 members worldwide. Each group is managed independently but all share the same name, logo and similar aspirations.

MALAYSIAN LESBIAN NETWORK (MLN) is an international on-line private e-mail list. We offer social support, networking and resources to Malaysian lesbians only.

THE ASIAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER WELLNESS CENTER'S initial HI is up and running. Asian AIDS Project and Living Well merged forming the new API Wellness Center. It's mission is to provide culturally sensitive HIV/AIDS education, support and prevention programs to the Asian and Pacific Islander communities, and to empower, support and enhance the lives of A/PIs living with HIV/AIDS.

AEGIS - Aids Education Global Information System is filled with valuable information. Also has a Forum with a large number of knowledgeable participants.

HIV InSite is the University of California AIDS Web Site and is distinguished by being managed by the leading experts in the field. Use printouts from this site for advocating treatment and reimbursements. This site is a gold mine.

The Body is another authoritative site which has a leading HIV doctor on line that will answer your questions. A quick look at the site reveals they are near the cutting edge.

The National Aids Treatment Advocacy Project will keep you abreast of all the latest news. This is Jules Levin's baby.

Malaysia HIV Resources lists resources that help to prevent the further spread of HIV and to provide emotional support to People Living with AIDS.
